Delo 400 0w40

Friend just purchased a '82 Mercedes 230 with the 4 cylinder diesel. It will not be garaged, driven daily but short trips. It has a block heater, no oil pan heater. It has 102,000 miles, oil changed at the dealer every 2000 miles so well cared for.
Would Delo 400 0w40 work year round with changes every six months?

I've never heard of a Delo 400 0w-40.

I do know that they make a 0w-30 and 5w-40 Delo though.

Your local dealship and repair shops will know what'll best survive Fairbanks winters.

Why not install an oil pan heater?

You may be better off with Delo Synthetic 0w30 for those winters where you are.
