You are correct about the Amsoil dealers fact twisting, but I am not trying to sell Amsoil nor have I even mentioned Amsoil. I don't run Amsoil in my bike, I run RedLine almost exclusively. Nice try, but you can do better. Search the archive and you can see who I am.

Azsynthetic, have YOU ever owned a factory bike?
I have, I owned Dennis Stevenson's Pro Circuit Team Suzuki works bike, I can tell you this, I was'nt any faster whether I used, Motul, PJ1, Bel-Ray, it didnt matter. Having the suspension dialed in and the correct tires for the terrain had 100x more impact than any other factor minus rider skill. I unquestionably had the fastest bike in every race I entered, but that didnt guarantee me a podium finish every race.

Apparently either you or your bike is not good enough to win. In your particular case I believe it is you that is not good enough to win. If you care to read the link I have posted you can see that even Rossi admitted that he needed a faster bike to win. Even World Superbike champion, Neil Hodgson, has warned his fans that the best that they can expect from him on Sunday is a 12th or 13th place. Hodgson was riding a year-old Ducati that is proving uncompetitive against new bikes from Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Ducati for that year.

Since you are a racer and not a bike builder I don't expect you to understand why Suzuki has to team up with an oil manufacturer to develop racing oil for their bikes. Like I said, there are wannabe racers and then there are real racers that know their limit. There are also wannabe engine builders and then there are factory team engine builders that need the help of an oil manufacturer.

Both of his perfect seasons were on a Honda, see what I mean. Also, Honda did not use diesel oil in his bike.

LOL!

What part of "Youre not fooling anyone anymore" dont *you* understand...

This thread has gone off the rails.
  • A good rider on an inferior bike will have difficulty winning
  • A poor rider on a superior bike will have difficulty winning
  • Many other factors complete the total equation
  • In general, Good rider + superior bike + other factors = victory

As for the oil:
  • There is a difference between "Can diesel oil be used" and "Is diesel oil used."
  • It could be ... it likely isn't.
  • Sponsorship dollars is at the heart of the oil logo displayed by the race teams. Not some magical quality of the oil.
  • I'm nearly certain no HDEO manufacturer is interested in sponsoring a motorcycle race team. It would dilute their marketing message, which is focused on their primary and most lucrative market, which is the trucking industry.

Beyond that, what's the point of debating this further?

I have run rotella in both my bikes and have had no issues what so ever.
I wanted the same thing as the OP, cheaper oil that performed just as well as the $9/quart oils that just had a picture of a motorcycle on the front. Mobil Delvac 1300 Super, Chevron Delo 400 are good as well

I totally agree that oil is NOT the "defining" factor that wins or losses a race.

Hey Stephen! nope! I have not raced a factory bike, never will. Never built a race motor, never will. I just know what works in my bikes.

Growing up watching Randy Mamola, Eddie Lawson, Wayne Rainey, John Kocinski, Wayne Gardner, Bubba Shobert..the oil was not the reason they won or were competitive. Rider skill and the bike as a whole package was what won for them.

1. I have probably forgotten more about rebuilding 2-stroke motors than you will probably ever know.

2. Yes when I didnt stand on the podium itwas because I was out classes by better riders. Exactly my point I been making all along.

3. Geez guess who I ran into at Power Sports Pro today? A local GNCC Open Class A rider, who tells me he runs Delvac in his CRF. This guy has won more races in the last 2 years than I have won in my life.

1. What you have forgotten is irrelevant to me as I don't claim to be 2-stroke expert. I highly doubt that you are any where near the level of a factory team engine chief.

2. May be, and I do mean may be, you were out classes by better riders and I salute you for admitting that. But, you don't really know whether your bike is faster than the other bikes or not. Unless you dyno all the bikes on the same day on the same dyno there is no way of telling.

3. I don't really care much about a local guy running Delvac in his CRF because it tells me nothing. When he can beat an international team running nothing but motorcycle specific engine oil then I will definitely listen. Or, if Mobil put "for racing motorcycle" on a Delvac bottle then I will buy some.

You must not be good at math. Two perfect seasons on a Honda is better than one on a Kawasaki. Statistically speaking, Honda has a better bike. Also, East Coast Supercross is not the same as Outdoor National in term of competitiveness. Stop trolling and study math, you need it.

I have notify the moderator of this board that you keep insisting that I am an Amsoil dealer when I am not (read the forum charter). I do not wish to steal any one identity nor do I want to sell Amsoil. Lets see who is the fool now troll.

I am not Stephen and you can call him to verify. I don't sell Amsoil, search the archive and you will see what I do for a living.

Rider skill and the bike and the race team are what won the race. Ricky Carmichael is a fine example of why the bike is more important. Even though he was winning left and right, apparently Kawasaki and then Honda didn't think they needed him that bad and let him go. Kawasaki and Honda still win after he went to Suzuki.

azsyn---Wow, I want to hang out with you! You are such a pleasant dude. Let's go have a beer or somthin'. Or I could go and have a root canal sans anesthesia. Suspect it would be more fun.

Im just gonna sit back and watch this get locked.

JDD, I reckon you are right. It is hard to be civil with wannabe racers and oil experts on this board. You can tell which one is the wannabe pretty easy by watching their reactions to real facts. They start to back pedal and call every one Amsoil dealers and trolls.

Probably a good idea. Too bad some one started reporting replies to the Moderators because they cant stand the scrutiny *sigh*
