Ive seen discussion all over the web that states that Pentosin FFL-3 is also the MTL-LT-5 MTF from BMW.
FFL-3 is a porsche approved fluid only, as far as I can see... In fact, that is the only approval that Pentosin claims. But I guess that BMW is the only user of the MTF-LT-x coding.
ZF seems to imply that it is interchangeable.

According to spare part number of vehicle manufacturer: - Pentosin FFL-3
=> BMW Oil No. 8322 2167 666 (MTF-LT-5)
=> Daimler Oil No. A 002 989 04 03 (Getriebeöl ET)

But Pentosin calls it a DCT fluid and only shows Porsche specs/sheets/approvals. It does list the generic ZF document linked above.

So, I have a MT, not a DCT, and BMW is specifying using a DCT fluid? Pentosin states:
Quote:
FFL-3 features a special clutch friction performance which makes it mandatory to be applied solely to the double clutch gear box
Redline claims their DCTF for both the BMW DCT spec and the MTF spec of interest, but I always feel that Redline takes liberties...

So, anyone know of an official confirmation that pentosin FFL-3 is MTF-LT-5? I see lots of commentary and some anecdotes, but nothing official...
Thanks!
