Danger turning radiator petcock too tight?

No leaks for 18 hours at least. That must mean it was fixed.

Thanks for all who posted here--esp. to those who encouraged me to get a new radiator drain plug.

Turn it in until it stops and move on.No additional tightening required. The required O-ring deformation(that's how they work) is in the engineering.
