I would send it back and ask for a replacement....Looks like one of the pads got damaged in the box on delivery can it be used or is it dangerous and should be sent back and delay the brake job till next week or so?

Was ferodo premier eco friction pads fdb1648My 2 cents is...
Maybe your return will be the instance which makes the involved parties take notice and improve packing / shipping.
Yeah, right!
Q: Was it a cheaper brake pad?
Yep iv bought pagid and brembo in the past and they are shrink wrapped. Together inside the box. These ones were just stacked together no bubble wrap or anything. They were brand new box was sealed and inside a jiffy bag when posted to me. They are heavy so I suspect a drop by delivery company would have easily done this. The damage is surprising, because it looks like it was banging around inside the box. Most of the pads I have bought (Akebono, OEM Mercedes, EBC) are tightly wrapped in plastic wrap and tightly fitted to the box - they don’t bang around.
You’re in the UK - any thought given to EBC brakes? I have been very happy with their performance on my Tundra.
I understand, still, brake pads are not a place where I would look to save £10.Yep iv bought pagid and brembo in the past and they are shrink wrapped. Together inside the box. They cost £24 delivered and the eBay car parts shop doesn't look to have more in stock so probably will get a refund although buying from somewhere like autodoc means paying £35 + delivery on top.
