I really do like these Chinese made private label filters. Our shop uses Pro Gauge filters on all non Hyundai vehicles. They are nearly identical to the Driveworks. The only real difference is the base plate. They are stout filters and I have no reason to believe that they are not as good as any name brand filter. In fact, I would rather use one of these than a Purolator. I am weird like that. I also like the e-cores.



Did you ever see Ultra 8 Brand aka NIPPON ?

I had one and cut it open.. and they are made in CHINA and I was very impressed look how nice.

They sell them at NAPA... however as I said look at that.... very nice and it was like a TANK.... very strong. So not all CHINA stuff is bad.... I mean id rather it be made in USA. However look at all the stuff we buy each day that is made in CHINA.. I mean I was at wallymart and the only thing I could find that was made in USA was regular wooden No2 Pencils

why would you expect an entry level filter to do the job of a filter designed for extended drain intervals, most likely with synthetic oil?!? I would use driveworks filters for something like 1000-2000 mile 'flush' OCI's on my Jeep or motorcycles (similar to what I used Autolite commercial filters for on my Honda when I first got it; using Suzukin OEM filters on my GZ for several sequential short OCI's)
