Current top 0w-20’s?

Personally I would not consider either one. You can buy oils that meet much more stringent approvals for cheaper. I think PUP is mostly marketing. It just has API approval. I would look at a Amsoil personally if I owned a Jeep. Not my first choice for a vehicle, but if you're comfortable eating the crazy Jeep depreciation, the low MPG, paying for all the stuff that will break on it, and the tires, then I wouldn't pinch pennies on the oil, and just use Amsoil. If not, then I would use M1 ESP 0W-30 or Quaker State Euro 5W-40 which is $23 at Walmart (without a sale).
I change my oil so frequently Amsoil is too expensive for that.

5w30 should handle fuel better than 0W-30, right?
tired answered, but no not necessarily

1) Fix the oil dilution problem. Find the root cause and if you can at all - end it. It is going to be not good for anything in the long wrong. Not good for the oil, the engine, the environment. Regardless of oil choice.

2) Choose a good oil for your climate and conditions and engine history and all the variables that are argued for 25 years here.

3) Run that oil 4-5-6K miles. UOA. Ignore all the chat about 3ppm vs 6 ppm of any given element. Too many people stuck in them weeds. Focus on the oil. Still not easy. Was it winter? Towing? Muddust rock racing? Must be considered with other factors, but basically with fuel dilution, how did the oil hold up?

4) Keep reading!

Then I would use a Euro oil. Take your pick. They are all better than the two you are considering. Amsoil would also likely allow you change your oil more frequently, but to each his own I suppose.

I would chat with @Glenda W. Not only is she very smart, but she recently purchased a Jeep, and she makes sound decisions on oil selection.

She says use ESP 0W-30. I am getting impatient now. I might drive to Walmart now and just change to ESP in their parking lot 😃

Ok I will go to Walmart and get a jug of ESP 0W-30. I will try it and see how Jeep behaves and what the numbers look like. If Jeep acts abnormal with weird oil temp and oil pressure, I will change the oil immediately.

you've completely hijacked this thread. I'm sure your oil is only 500 miles old. Do whatever you wish. Just please keep it to yourself.
