yes, updating next week (if you want to update in the weekend, I can see that) or the next working day instead of automatically would have saved a lot of trouble
"you're not leaving for the weekend until this update is rolled out" type of stuff? I can see that leading to errors and skipping tests....
Did some high level heads roll for this? They certainly should.
My google two factor login authentication didn't work. They are supposed to robo call me with a code. It ain't working. And this is now Monday. Maybe unrelated?

Probably won't and probably shouldn't until they fix the mess 1st. A massive pay cut or no bonus for many other as well, but wishful thinking. We saw how executives at GM and Wallstreet were punished after being bailed out by the tax payer. Having Crowd Strike on your resume will suck though.
Dave Cutler, a retired Microsoft developer, says on Apr 19 CrowdStrike released a similar update for Ubuntu and crashed those boxes.
Then, on May 13 they released a similar update for Rocky Linux (similar to Red Hat) and crashed those boxes.
It’s like baseball baby, you’re out.
The $10 Uber eats card they offer as compensation will sure cover the damages
