I hope so. The last time the northwest saw a lengthy heat wave with multiple days (6 days IIRC) at 100F+ was in 1928.
It’s 6:30 PM the interior temp with the AC on is 77 degrees. The ceiling temp is 80 F with one ceiling fan on. We did hit 100 F outside. All set. It’s just after 10:00. Got the house cooled down to 72. The outside temp is 74 and 50% relative humidity. All windows shut. AC is set for 77. The ceiling temp in the vaulted ceiling is 73. The forecast is for 100 F by 5:00 PM, a new record.
Unknown to me, my wife baked some muffins in the oven. Doh!
Wife was stupid no matter how many times I told her our dryer vent go in the middle of he air vent return so do not turn on AC with the dryer at the same time (it is free heat in the winter though), she was wondering why was it so hot last week and then I realize the dryer and AC are both on. This is like the 5th time already. Next time I think I would turn off the circuit breaker to the dryer when AC is on just in case.Unknown to me, my wife baked some muffins in the oven. Doh!
My wife doesn't like the look of a clothes line.............but if I hang the clothes, I don't have to do anything else with doing laundry. Thank god no neighbors can see me!Wife was stupid no matter how many times I told her our dryer vent go in the middle of he air vent return so do not turn on AC with the dryer at the same time (it is free heat in the winter though), she was wondering why was it so hot last week and then I realize the dryer and AC are both on. On the average, perfect! We are forecasted to his 36c in west central Saskatchewan this week. It is not supposed to be humid, which is nice. It will then slowly drop to more normal mid to high 20's with the possibility of rain.
Its still nicer than Kamloops BC, where I was a kid. High thirties to mid 40's.
But hey, in 6 months it will be -36c.
Hold my beer while I light these.108F today, Tuesday, in north Idaho. Same for tomorrow. ( Phoenix AZ will be 105F today).
I am looking forward to Monday, when it "cools down" to 95F.
Not looking forward to Sunday when the fireworks maniacs go nuts in the neighborhoods with illegal fireworks.
108 here. I’m hearing reports of buckled sections on I-5.
Nicer in Kamloops? It hit 45C today out at the airport which is beside the river. We are forecasted to his 36c in west central Saskatchewan this week. It is not supposed to be humid, which is nice. It will then slowly drop to more normal mid to high 20's with the possibility of rain.
