No. They’re on pretty tight. They’re stainless steel in fairly damage resistant. Certainly stronger than something made out of brass like the Fumoto.

Besides, doesn’t your jeep have a skid plate that prevents rocks from hitting things?
No, not the oil pan.
 
I do the same starting procedure with my Jeep that is only driven on weekends or a day off. It’s a 2021 Wrangler Sport Willys with the 3.6l engine

What he and I hear is nasty valve clatter. I currently have Valvoline Restore and Protect 5w-30 I. The sump and have Mobil 1 0w-20 on the shelf for the next change to see if it helps avoid the need for the flood mode cranking.
