I have been reading about the great battery deals at COSTCO. Interstate brand. Looking at a plain flooded group 65 the price is higher than the Everstart MAXX.

Walmart happened to have a $10 price rollback on the Everstart MAXX group 65 also.

COSTCO does have a longer warranty.

All I can tell you is, I took one back to Costco; they looked up and found the purchase receipt. I had like 1 month left. The guy simply grabbed another off the shelf and sent me on my way.
Costco has earned my business.
That would never, ever happen at a WM or Sam's Club. I got ripped a new one recently at Sam's Club while trying to warranty an AGM with an intermittent issue.

$88 everstart maxx 24f 725 cca at Wm. I like the fact that the maxx is smooth on top. 3 yr. warranty. so far so good....1 month lol.

I went through this recently and went with Costco for convenience. As others have mentioned, I wouldn't even bother trying to warranty a battery at Walmart, the store is a total nightmare on every level I can't even imagine how a warranty claim on one of their batteries would go. I haven't shopped there in years but almost got lured in by a cheap battery!

Please expand on this.
As previously stated, I had an issue with intermittent issues. Unless it was acting up, it of course, tested fine. The issue presented itself several times a month and would result in the vehicle being stranded. I explained the situation to the manager and of course, the battery tested fine. Eventually they agreed to replace the battery, but he basically called me a fraud without stating it.

Sounds like it could have been an issue elsewhere. Let me guess, you replaced the battery and never had the stranding issue again?

Replaced the battery and the issue has not returned in over 3 months.

It previously happened 3 or 4 times over a 6 week period.

Never had a problem with my Sam’s Club auto center. Last time I went in for free tire rotation they noticed a nail in the tire and repaired it. I had a less than stellar experience at Costco where they refunded the original price battery and made me pay the core charge on the replacement battery. The new battery’s price had also gone up.

I will say that Costco workers are much better trained than Sam’s Club. I was at Sam’s Pharmacy yesterday and later asked for the lawn fertilizer. He looked at his phone and then started walking back and forth in the same aisles I tried to find it. Finally I said can you ask somebody, no repsonse. He said oh you mean Scott’s Turf Builder? Yes. We have 96 bags of it in stock. He still could not find it so I left.

I've always been pleased with the warranty coverage of Costco batteries, their pro-rated formula seems quite fair when I've returned a 55 month old one.

I am not familiar with AGM batteries in a car. Is the intermittant failure a known AGM problem?
