Last Saturday did some messing around with a nibbler, hammer and dolly, and a 4" grinder, with a 15 (or maybe 12) litre stainless stockpot, a milkshake cup, and a star shaped stainless biscuit cutter.
To make one of these (my design, after sizing the components by eye).
Test fire last weekend - actually second fire, the first burned a bit more blue, less primary air.
Had a crack at heating some water
Then tried to get it to run cigar mode from top down, the way that it should work...and it did.
This morning had a go at actually doing something with it, and cooked my breakfast over a handful of twigs (literally 2 cups max of 3/8" twigs that we picked up.
Here's the bits sitting together.
Pic down the "can"...sorry G.E.
And here's the combustor, showing my new found panel beating skills (thanks Roy and American Hotrod), and the temper colours of the stainless steel combustor, showing the primary and secondary combustion zones.
