My son has a set of the DWS06+ on his Audi S3 and just recently bought new wheels/summer tires (ECS02s) so these are off/in the garage. Comparing to my "winter" tires the Michelin PSAS4, it's interesting and should explain why the DWS06 has typically shown better snow performance than the Michelin in testing and the Michelin has shown better dry performance. While both being UHP all seasons, you can see the differences of focus here. The DWS06+ is just an overall blockier tire to me which will induce more squirm and yield less dry perfomrnace braking/cornering. The PSAS4 is more similar to a summer tire with more sipes.

I put a set on the Michelin PSAS4 on our beloved '06 TSX. What a great tire! If and when or GS needs rubber, I will use them.
And likely the M3P; they should offer a renage benefit over the stock Pirelli P Zero summer tires.

Interesting. I havn't experienced any performance difference in the dry when comparing my PS3 AS+ to my current DWS06+

I wonder when the Michelin Pilot Sport AS4 predecessor will come out?

The Tire Rack tested a bunch of the latest ultra high performance all-season tires last year. The Bridgestone beats the Conti and Michelin UHP all-season tires in winter performance but the Bridgestone doesn't keep up in dry and wet traction in comparison.

Conti tires are lighter but not as durable I'm assuming. Higher chance of a blowout hitting a pothole vs the Bridgestone, The Bridgestone has a seldom seen in a car tire 3 ply sidewall.

My wife's Audi was down late fall and I had summer tires on my VW. She got Bridgestone Potenza Sport AS from Costco.
I wanted the Pirelli P Zero Plus 3.

I was looking at the DWS06+ as my VW dealer has a deal all installed buy 3 get one free for $749... taxes extra on Arteon

Contis may be lighter due to a thinner/less plies sidewall. I know when I put the DSWs on the GLI, I could defintely tell a softer ride due to a more compliant sidewall vs. the AS3s they replaced. Obviously the stiffer sidewall of the MIchies gave better turn-in feel over the Continentals. Meh, tradeoffs 🤷‍♂️.

I got better steering response with the Michelin, and slightly better wear, over DWS. Dry was noticeably better with the Michelin, and I felt the wet was better as well. Snow performance was definitely mediocre, but not a priority for me....thus I simply went back to summer tires, which over all perform better in dry and wet over UHP AS.

What's really impressive is that the updated Generals match or beat the Continentals in everything but winter driving and cost about $20 less per tire.

Anyone here have any experience with the General AS07s?

The GLI will need new shoes around fall-time. I'm choosing neither the Contis or Michelins this time around and going with some P-Zeros.
Right? Where does Pirelli rate in the general scheme of things? What are they best at, what is their niche?

Quiet and refined.

Tire rack really likes the new'ish P Zero AS+3. I'd give them a try but their 17 inch sizes are very limited.
