Looking for a good concealed carry pistol. Im trying to go cheap. So nobody just spout of Glock and Kahr. Anyway Im mainly looking at the Kel-Tec P-11/PF-9 and Ruger LC9. I dont want a .380, Im not paying $16 for a box when I can get 9 for less than $10. And I already stock 9mm. I have a Tokarev, Makarov, CZ-82, and Hi-Point .45 and those are not the most ideal for concealment. Id just carry the Mak or CZ if they werent heavy blowbacks. Ive heard a lot of good things about the Kel-Tecs and Ruger pocket pistols so its a tough choice. If the .380 versions are truely worth while Id think about it. Id hate to have to stock another caliber though. I try to buy weapons that use calibers I already own unless its really important to the collection (like the Swiss K31).

You might want to consider a BERSA FIRE STORM. I have both a 380 & 22 version. Nice gums at a fair price.

Without even reading your thread I was going to suggest a P11 or LC9. Whichever one you like better. I prefer the P3AT, but that's just me, some people don't like the .380, but if you get the right round it's fine and the 3AT is perfect for ankle carry.
Don't think you will find one cheap unless you get lucky, but have you considered a S&W 940 Centennial revolver chambered in 9MM? The Centennial is one of the best concealed carry weapons available (IMHO). I have the S&W 640 .357 mag. Just a thought.
I know if you catch the deal at Academy, the LC9 can be had for about $359, but they sell out within about 2 hours of getting a shipment in. Otherwise they're running around $400 - of course, that's Texas prices, they may be more or less elsewhere.

Thats pretty much why Im leaning towards the P-11. The LC9 is hard to get. Too popular, kudos for Ruger. Plus the extra cost over a Kel-Tec, I dont know how its worth the extra 100-150 yet.

I don't know if it is, either. This early in production there are likely to be some recalls or design refinements. Maybe in a couple years it might be worth getting. Of course, I know all the prices because my dad just bought one yesterday. I've been trying to help him find one for the past month now. He just couldn't wait.

I have a Kahr PM9 it works good but on my CCW are 2 J frame Smiths. The Smiths with a pocket holster seem to be with me all the time. The Kahr is just a bit bigger and for me doesn't fit. IMO if there was a chance of a prolonged gun battle I would want a full sized pistol over any of the compact types.

One of my coworkers offered me his LCP with all his goodies (mags/holsters/.380 ammo) for $300. That is mighty tempting but I am really turned off by the tiny grip and nearly nonexistent sights. What do you think of that offer? I nearly bought a PF-9 today but my favorite gun store jacked up the price to $350 knowing it would sell the first day regardless. First time I couldnt get them to budge on a price.
Decent offer, IMO... But if I was going to get a .380 for $300 I'd rather spend $300 on a brand new 3AT and a bunch of goodies. Still, you have the same small grip. If you're wanting a bigger grip, you're really wanting a bigger gun than a .380. Don't compromise, just get what you want. And if you don't know what you want, then wait till you do.
If you're really in love with the PF9, then just wait for it to come down in price a little. Get to a gun show early one Saturday morning and see what you can get there. Sometimes they'll surprise you with the deals they cut and stuff they'll throw in as far as extra mags and holsters and stuff.

Micro compacts are generally short on extras, for good reason.
Pulling the sucker outta your pocket, you don't want fancy sights or any of that stuff snagging on your clothes and making you accidentally shooting yourself.
For 300 bucks, I think I'd jump on it.
Micor compacts are all a trade off of size versus functionality.
And let's face it, a micro .380 isn't going to shoot like a BHP.

The LCP crimson laser trigger guard seems like a nifty attachment. Id consider that pistol just for that great looking laser.
laser is one less thing to think about, where the red light goes, the bullet follows.

Well when my order for a Hi-Point .45 arrives at the shop Ill see what kind of price they'll give me on a P-11. They cut me good deals very often so I hope I dont pay more than $250 on it. Otherwise considering the wait on backorders for this pistol I may want to get that coworkers LCP to tide me over. I may like both anyway.

Well I went to my gun shop and its going to be a while before I can order a new Kel-Tec P11. My coworker made a second offer for that LCP for $200. I bought that today. Guess he really needed the money to sell if for only $200. Well at least I got a steal. Still in the box and bag it was brought home in!
