As most people know, Kendall is now owned by ConocoPhillips. They also own the "76" brand.

I checked the ConocoPhillips website for specs on these oils. I suspected that even though ConocoPhillips sells motor oil under four different brand names (Conoco, Phillips 66, "76" and Kendall) they were probably the exact same oil. Management is always looking for a way to save money, and consolidating operations is a big part of any acquisition/merger to cut costs.

Sure enough, when I checked the 5W-30 full synthetic oil for these brands, the specs were identical for each one.

Actually, I didn't even bother to look up the specs on Phillips 66 synthetic, since I am fairly sure it is the same as above.

I think a lot of people might be surprised about which oils are really the same.
