Coffee - Your Current Brew

Red Bay Coffee: I was at Trader Joe's earlier today and realized I'm getting low on the Kenyan that's in the grinder hopper, so I poked around their coffee shelf and discovered this one. It appears to have a flavor profile I might like and the price was quite good, so into the cart it went. Red Bay sells their coffee in the same sized package for $19.00 and this was only $9.99. Had to give it a shot. Red Bay is a local roaster based in Oakland, just a few miles from me.

Costco Columbian in the 3 pound can... once in awhile I change things up and buy some specialty beans that I have to grind myself..

Chock full o Nuts from Black&Decker drip coffee maker. One of a few choices that fit under my low upper cabinets (13.5"). Sometimes Maxwell house or Folgers depending sales at Costco/BJ's. My FIL at 78yo makes it most mornings. He needs plain basic easy and even then has been known to ruin a pot frequently.

Question for the group- What filters do you use for the basket and are they taller sides. Almost everything I find is 8-12 cup but even at 10 cup it often overflows the sides a bit and get grinds into coffee. I like chunky peanut butter at times, maybe even some chunky women. I don't like chunky coffee.

Current filters are Brew Rite from Walmart, regular round basket style. The reviews on some 12-14 cup ones on Amazon and other sites say they are the same size as the 8-12 ones. Using the B&D with CFON on "strong" brew seems to limit the overflow as it adds the water slower.

Look for Bunn filters

Walmart shut down here. Too much theft
Was it easier to shut down, then fixing the problem. Kinda like Minneapolis, defund the police and then the city council had a meeting because they couldn't figure out why crime was going up........Like they say You can't fix stupid>
