Im not sure that drinking coffee black makes you a coffee snob. I have been drinking coffee black since i was 18 and went to the military. I can attest to the fact that drinking it black can make you more picky because many of the coffee flavors you cant taste with cream and sugar.

oh no, thats not what i meant. I drink black coffee when I work graveyard shifts, but what I meant was picky about the brand and maker etc.

No problem, i miss understood. I see many mention Yuban brand coffee. Where do you get it? Is it canned, in bags, whole bean? I would like to try it but i dont know that i have seen it anywhere.

Yuban coffee is not available in this area on the shelves. I only seen it once, at a Ollie's bargain wholesale store that buys store inventory from across the country. They had the huge cans on sale. It seems to be from the west coast and south, I haven't seen it anywhere up and down the east coast.

Local shop sells the good stuff straight from the growers - yes, they get the beans in huge twine-bags!

Just about any roast, blend, and location is available to me, including genuine, 100% Kona (my favourite).

On the go, I'm not too picky (and I drink gallons of the Timmies stuff), but I've actually found a fondness for 7/11 stuff. Though I'm beginning to think that might just be the "cheap" me enjoying a large refill for $0.89 ...

I just bought some millstone Colombian supreme today and made it after lunch. Wow, this is my new favorite. I probably wont drink it much because of the price but it is very good. I bought the little 1.50 dollar sample pack at WM. While we were at costco i also bought a 2lb bag of Magnium Organic breakfast blend whole bean that ill give a try here in about a week. It was only 9 dollars for 2lb.

I get cans at costco for 6.99 each, they go on sale regularly for 4.99. Not the best stuff in the world but it will get the job done. The costco brand stuff is much better. supermarkets carry the dark roast version of yuban, much better then the regular.

Grren mountain and kuerig are currently working on a 100% recycable k-cup with a non metalized cover. Most filters are not biodegradable anyway so anyones current brewing system is not any " Greener "

The varieties of Kuerig k cups I have are, caribou daybreak, colombian caribou blend, Green mountain nantucket, breakfast blend,Kona, peppermint mocha, Doughnut shop cinnamon roll, and chocolate glazed doughnut, Gloria jeans variety pack with four flavors, chi tea, hot cocoa.

Anything I want at anytime fresh

When I was at Puerto Rico I got a 1lb bag of La Hacienda coffee and it is great to drink black with cookies, somehow it brings out the dessert's flavor better than any other coffee I've had before.

La hacienda was indeed a good coffee. They have quite a few varieties starting from medium grade to premium coffees sold under a couple of brand names. I was quite surprised to see such good coffee grown in the US but unavailable to anyone outside PR. My guess is that this is how they keep their quality high. Once you mass produce, you will become like the other mass brands when you are not sure where the beans came from.

This is going to sound strange, but I've almost completely cut out regular coffee. For years, at home, I drank nothing but chicory-laced coffee; we have several brands in The Swamp, and the French Market Blend was even available up in Denver (whose denizens had rarely heard of the stuff).

A few years ago, though, I began to get heartburn. I thought it was sugar (I'm a big cookie monster), but I read recently that caffeine is one of the contributors. So I've cut it down to one teaspoon of caffeinated grounds in the morning, and the rest decaf. Heartburn's almost vanished.

I still do chicory coffee for that teaspoon of regular, and for the decaf too if I can find it at a reasonable price.

Tim Horton's until my stash ran out.

Now it's whatever premium joe is on sale. Currently Seattle's Best Organic House Blend. It isn't Tim's...

Emmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Good.

Bought some Dunkin Donuts last week....I found my new favorite coffee.

My preferences are Folgers Classic Roast Instant Coffee, Nescafe Clssic Instant Coffee, Starbucks, and Maxwell House Instant Cofee. Out of all them, I really liked the Folgers and the Nescafe coffee.

Current stock: 2.5lb bag of Member's Mark Fair Trade French Roast from Sam's Club

Grind: Coarse

Brew method: French Press or Moka

Why: Tastes excellent
Lasts long (3 weeks)
Great price

I was given a Keurig and used it on and off for some time and I didn't like how weak the caffeine jolt was from its brewing method. The only thing I enjoyed from the Keurig was its convenience.
That's why I only do French press or Moka method when brewing coffee at home. I rarely use our auto drip.

Wow. Someone still drinks that stuff....

I guess that since I started this thread, I'd better update.

I'd continued to drink old reliable, the Eight O'Clock 100% Columbian... but I caught some Seattle's Best 100% Columbian on sale for $3.99 a bag. At that price (under $5), I was obviously tempted...

I like it... it is definitely a bolder Columbian coffee, but nice.
