Can anyone help me confirm or deny that my 2013 Honda fit and 2014 Hoda crv have clear flood mode or not? Thanks
Found out the hard way with my Lexus the first time round; I usually do this after installing a new oil filter and it almost redlined immediately after startup. As far as I know, all MPI and GDI engines have this feature.
Oddly enough I tried it with my 88 E-150 4.9L and it started. I did it the same way I mentioned above. I was surprised and quickly turned it off while backing off the gas.As far as I know, all MPI and GDI engines have this feature.
I think he's asking not how to do it, but if his car actually has that function. Your owners manual doesn't say? Can you access service information?I believe that the clear flood mode(on most vehicles) is to hold down the accelerator pedal to the floor while starting the engine.
Don't mean to sound rude, but it would be faster to try it than post a question then, right?I think he's asking not how to do it, but if his car actually has that function. Your owners manual doesn't say? Can you access service information?

I think he wants to avoid blowing up his engine. Not everybody has fast reflexes to shut it down quickly if it starts.Don't mean to sound rude, but it would be faster to try it than post a question then, right?
