cleaner solution

so i borrowed one of these from a friend. i had a part bottle of folex and used it to clean my outback. the water that i saw as pretty dirty.

Folex is pretty expensive. i intend to use it to clean a couple of more vehicles before i return it. So anyone have inexpensive solution that works in this machine?

Folex is like $15 a gallon at HD, which is pretty much on par with most carpet cleaning solutions.

I've used Meguair's APC+ (professional all-purpose cleaner) as a carpet/upholstery cleaning solution, but it's not much cheaper than Folex, maybe around $13/gal.

I think cheap and expensive are relative to whst you want to accomplish. Theres plenty of carpet cleaner solutions at home depot lowes that arent thst expensive for like under 20 that will do like 10 houses let alone cars. The issue is if you only need a little bit for a car then you don't need that much. You could always just give the remaining solution to the owner

otherwise its look around the house for something you already have. If you google home recipes. For carpet cleaner its often a mixture of oxiclean,vinegar, and laundry detergent and or dish soap.

But if you don't have these items and were going to buy them just for this, might as well buy carpet cleaner instead.

The key is just to rinse/doublerinse with water
