Found a stash from 70's on up it looks like. Various weights, 2 cycle oil, lithium grease, and loads of motor oil. My grandfather retired from Union oil in the early 70's and some of this was his. Anyway the oil is going in some older classic cars and the lawn equipment. I can't see using it in any of the modern cars since I like extended changes on syn. He just stockpiled it and this was what he didn't need. Still had some for his cars too!

Interesting. I like how it looks in the garage right now though.

Doesn't THAT bring back a few memories...I remember getting an oil spout when I got my first car (to puncture the cans and allow you to pour it in the engine)...I still have a Wolf's Head oil rack in the garage - simple metal frame on which you would display those cans of oil with the Wolf's Head logo...

I bet a few buyers on EBay would be willing to pay a premium...but I would consider keeping it in bigger lots...sell the Castrol as one group, QS as one, Valvoline as one...less hassle and it's rare to find so many in such good condition.

Hmmmm....that Kendall looks mighty tasty and 2 of them would look great on my office credenza.

No doubt, but more can be made on single cans. Most of the vintage oil on eBay that is in good shape goes for about $15 a quart plus shipping. I have a soft spot for Gulf Oil and just grabbed a can of GulfLube in SAE20 for $20. I see the old "spouts" for these cans going for $10 or so; now who would have thought that back when I was using them. I wish I would have kept a few of those old cans myself.

I remember when those types of cans were being sold. My dad was actually pretty tight, so I had to open those cans with a hammer and a screwdriver. A nice sharp flat one for the "pour" hole and a small ice pick for the "air" hole.
Thanks to the store stockers who would obviously drop them, there always seemed to be some area of the oil section that was leaking and was a mess.

I was one of those store stockers, worked part time at K-mart when I was in college. Those cans often arrived leaky or just coated in oil. We tried to be careful with them, but customers would drop them or they would spontaneously fall. The fork lift driver speared and knocked down a pallet of oil one day....what a mess!!

'Cept maybe for the Castrol, you'll not likely sell lots on ebay, few are interested in more than a quart or two at once...

2 cycle oil. Says for snowmobiles but I use it in the mower.

Honestly save it, those labels are MINT, put them back where you found them and pass them down or sell them later in life when they will be worth more $$.
