Ok! The big day is here! Help me revel vicariously in all the holiday excess by posting your favorite Christmas gift.

We haven't opened presents yet this year, but last year I'd have to say the best gift I got was a new daughter in law. She's a gem! If my son ever wants to get rid of her, we're keeping her and kicking him out, lol.

Of the gifts I bought this year, I'm partial to the infrared temp gun I got my son and the brain bucket I got for my daughter for downhill skiing.

I bought my own Christmas present a few weeks ago... with my wife's knowledge. XTOOL D8W scan tool. Always wanted a scan tool with a lot of features and this one has already paid for itself with the knowledge learned. It also does Honda (and other) key/fob programming.

Tough it's either a LeCruset Dutch oven about 10 yrs ago or BMW driving school 20 yrs ago. I use the skills I acquired in driving school every time I drive.

99% of the time we reserve gifts for parents and nephews/niece.

I've got an autel md808pro. No touch screen, and a smallish screen but handy. I've thought about upgrading, but each time I start to research I hate trying to decipher the marketing for the new Gen of scan tools. So difficult to tell what you're getting and what you're missing out on. I understand it's tough because of all the different vehicle coverage and specs.

So true! I've been researching for months and knew I wanted key/fob programming due to a daughter's key being held together with tape and prayer. I'd like to have an extra fob. My wife lost hers on our last trip to Wisconsin, but luckily I found it under the front seat after it'd slipped from her pocket.

I also wanted graphing, screen capture, and all those other common features found on most scan tools today. My research reached the point where I was paralyzed I was going to make the wrong decision, then I realized I've been making wrong decisions my whole life, so why worry about it now. Thus. the XTOOL D8W!

I gave but didn't get anything which is normal as i don't need anything but I have been fighting the flu for a week...
Just 35 minutes ago a neighbor called and said they made me Christmas dinner.....they heard i was sick.

They left it at the door and that was a real blessing... a big homemade cherry cheesecake, stuffed mushrooms, shrimp, scallops, lobster, crab legs, etc.....
I haven't had much for a week but this was the Bomb.....

I doubt I deserved this but I am extremely appreciative!

My wife and I don't exchange gifts - never have. No interest really. But that said, we both love Christmas and just having time together to go places or hang out or whatever - means much more to me than 'stuff'. We also make it a point to tip all our service people - mail person, our complex maintenance guys, our car mechanics, etc. Those are gifts that bring me joy. :)

Hope everyone is having a really nice holiday.
