Chinese Machine MFG Export Info

I got an invite to tour a Chinese machinery builders' factory.
I'm not interested and was never a buyer of what they sell.
They sent me page after page of monthly new orders and export figures.
This is just one sample.

Look closely you don't see any USA buyers. None of the 20 some pages had any exports to
the USA. Before the CV days they sent tons over here. Nothing new for China these days.
US orders dried up!

Not completely surprising. There is also a partial shift away from China for parts, components and assembly as industry seeks to reduce geographic concentration of its supplier base. We are in the midst of doing the same and luckily, as a private company, can absorb the margin hit in the short term and can pass the cost increase on to a great extent. Tough challenge for low margin businesses.

Interesting... we sell a CNC and manual line out of California , we've been selling quite a few this year.
Mostly manual lathes. But theirs are mainly manufactured in Taiwan.

I did get sticker shock with the manual lathes although I know better.
