Check engine came in my 2019 ford escape and saw wiring had been chewed on the oxygen intake sensor. Does anyone know of this can be repaired easily? Any advice is really appreciated

If that's just the oxygen sensor, just replace it :sneaky:

Otherwise, maybe you could splice the wires somehow.

Are you still covered under warranty?

First of all like Rand said, it's not an oxygen sensor. Those are in the exhaust gas stream.

Secondly, if that is the connector, you might be able to solder the wires back together, if there's enough material left. If your lucky, the actual connector will be back in a different location. Follow the wires back to see where they go. If that turns out to be the case, a new part (sensor) is the best repair option. It's too hard to tell from the pictures you posted.

Finally if it is the connector, a new one might be available, or iit can be repinned like KrisZ said.

If there is a Pick and Pull type of self-service auto salvage yard in your locale, I suggest looking for a similar plug w/pigtail on a late model Ford with a similar engine as your Escape. It will be easier and probably less expensive to cannibalize one from a junker than pursuing a different repair.

Whatever critter that chewed it had very neat and selective technique. 2 adjacent wires, nothing else?

He liked the smell or taste. And small appetite? :ROFLMAO:

Almost looks like it was manually cut. :devilish:

It is typical of gray squirrel behavior, especially in the Spring and Autumn breeding seasons. They often forage for nesting material and will chew on certain (mostly soy-based) plastics, rubber and wood to keep their teeth from overgrowing just like a beaver. Our neighborhood has started live trapping and relocating them in a far away park to keep the damage under control. Just this year, I have had to repair rodent damage on six vehicles.
