I haven't ran a bottle of Fuel System cleaner in awhile. Probably about 15,000 miles or more. Some people claim to notice improved performance when using these products regularly.

I normally use Redline SI-1, but decided to go with Chevron's Pro-Gard fuel injector cleaner this time around. So far I am very impressed with the engine responsiveness. Engine feels a lot more responsive. It's either from the Pro-Gard, Wawa Gas or 15F drop in temperature. I can't rule out these other variables, but so far so good. I will be paying attention to see if the changes I'm noticing are from the Pro-Gard. Very surprised at how much more responsive the engine feels right now.

Good to hear it worked for you...

How does Pro-Guard differ from Techron?

Any reasons you know of to use Pro-Guard versus Techron?

Pro-gard..has LESS of the PEA detergent that is most effective at cleaning intake systems and fuel injectors ...the best product is Techron Total Fuel System Cleaner which has 50% PEA detergent in it.

Well, my injectors must have been pretty dirty (surprisingly) because the improvement is so noticeable.

I'm surprised because I usually use Shell gas.
