My wife and I interchange cars. This means that seating positions get modified in all kinds of ways. I was driving my 135i, which has very comfortable, supportive seats, and after about 30 miles, I noticed that I was developing a cramp at the inner side of the back of my right leg. Didnt have the cushion supporting properly. So just a reminder to evaluate your seating position for safety and ergonomics. A good resource I found is this: http://www.wikihow.com/Adjust-Seating-to-the-Proper-Position-While-Driving

Thanks for the link. Of all the vehicles I owned, the most comfortable with respect to seating was an old, midsize 1983 LTD. The manual buckets (I don't think there was power anything in the vehicle, except PS and brakes) were almost perfect. I could drive hours and hours in that vehicle without an issue. My G's seats are too wide and put my behind to sleep. The F-150 has bench seats, so little more to say about that. The Audi was good, but, oddly enough, not up to the LTD standards - the one category in which that vehicle excelled.

This is the reason I like memory seat. I adjust my seat to my preferred driving position along with steering, side mirrors ... and save it to seat memory 2. Seat memory 1 is my wife's position. Before I get in her car I always push memory 2 and get exactly what I like.

Yeah, I have two cars that I let my wife and mother-in-law drive. I have gotten used to everything being messed up all the time. I will frequently go 100 miles before I realize that my seat is all out of whack. And the memory seats only work when you are not moving. My wife's car, forget about it. I haven't ever gotten it adjusted right for myself. After my MIL drives any of them, I have to move the seat back before I can squeeze in at all.

On my wifes F150 I can just get in, drive and be comfortable for hours without ever touching the seat. On my Ram, a slight tilt of the seat or any slight forward or rear movement will take me a week to get back adjusted to where it is comfortable for me, even if it is moved in the exact same spot. When I take it to the car wash I have them put on the order to not move my seats, I forgot today and when I got back in the steering wheel was tilted all the way up, seat back was all the way forward and the back seat was pushed all the way back. Its miserable, now Ill either feel like I am too close or too far away for days. When I do drive one of the trucks at work I usually leave the seats as is, except for moving the lumbar support to where I am looking out of the windshield rather then at the roof.

EVERY little ricetard 'G' around here does that. LOL You'd think it would be "played out" by now??

Agreed, it's a small feature that can save a lot of grief. In her car, my position is memory 2. In mine, hers is number 2 smile
