Some of you may disagree, but my findings from my limited experience are that spark plugs are spark plugs. Platinum and iridium versions last at least twice as long as standard versions. Get the correct part number for your car and it really doesn't matter what brand you use.

Funny recollection here: I told the Honda parts counter guy some years ago that my 89 Accord came fro the factory with Champion plugs. It was a coupe and the coupes were built only in Ohio. The car also came with a Delco battery. He was insistent that the car HAD to have come with NGK plugs and that I was mistaken. I wasn't. I replaced the plugs the first time with the same model of Champion plug that came with the car.

I've seen Honda-boxed Champions - Hyundai and Subaru also used them, Mercedes listed them alongside Bosch and Beru as replacement plugs. I've used Champion platinums when a neighbor threw in Bosch Platinums and the car ran a little better.

I put Champion Iridium's in my wifes Hyundai Santa Fe (2012 2.4L.) Gapped them to what Rock Auto had on the listing (a little different then what the factory Denso's were gapped to.) It has been about 15,000 miles now and still gets the same gas mileage and the car runs fine.

Any brand of spark plug in any brand of vehicle gets my vote, from personal experience. YMMV

I have ngk ix iridiums spark plugs in there now and car runs great but im going to pull them before winter and put new ones in.. These are more for performance but i read that the laser platinums are for better mpg?

what do you think? i got 194k on my civic hx.runs like a top!

Thanks
