Changed oil with the wrong specification on a 2.0 TDI

Why does a European person care about their stupid American mandated DPF? I’m going to poke a hole in mine as soon as the dieselgate warranty is expired.

We have hard emission regulations here in Sweden to. At the yearly car inspection they check for catalyzer and DPF visually and by doing a OBD scan. Of course its possible to do a DPF delete by reprogramming the ecu so it doesent throw any fault codes if you really want to spend money on that.

Stick with 5W40 in that engine.

507 00 is a robust 5w30 spec and shouldn’t hurt your engine. Castrol Edge, Mobil1 etc should have it.

That specific engine best works with thick 5W40! Yesc we all know VW504.00/507.00 is robust, but in this particular engine, 505.01 5W40 os some HDDO is best option.
