Changed oil with the wrong specification on a 2.0 TDI

I have a 2.0 TDI CR 140HP - engine code CBAB

I've looked now into the book that the car came with and it is specified that I should use 507 00, and I bought and added the wrong specification (502 00).
I learned that 502 00 (the one that I added now) is for gasoline and also for diesels but without particle filter, and 507 00 is for particle filter diesel.

Here is the link to the oil that I have right now: https://www.autodoc.de/castrol/9036936

Should I go back and change it? Or maybe I can run it for <10k km just fine and then change it. I really need to get to Italy in a couple of days, so thats gonna be 3k km before I can come back and change it.

Run it. Change it when you get home if it'll make you feel better. If not, leave it.
Thanks for your comment, do you think this will damage anything for 3-4k kilometers? 80% of them kilometers will be done on autoband...

It's technically a 505.01 oil was for TDI's with the Pumpe-Duse injection system.

Keep in mind, ACEA C3 (if it self-certified to the 2021 standard), is technically suitable for DPF's, according to ACEA. The sulphated ash is a little higher than VW507.00 requirements (.8% max vs .6% max)

There is a mistake on the vendor's webpage. This isn't VW 502.00 (full-SAPS) but 505.01 (mid-SAPS). It shouldn't hurt your DPF.

VW 507.00 is a stricter spec than 505.01 (better base oil (lower Noack), stricter wear-test limits, and a DPF test), but chances are that your engine won't notice the difference.

It is. VW502.00 can also be Mid-SAPS.
Numerous oils have both 502.00 and 505.01.

Right, but VW 502.00 can be mid-SAPS only if it's VW 502.00/505.01 dual-spec. They apparently wanted to make VW 505.01 backward compatible with older vehicles spec'ing 502.00 and allowed lower SAPS and TBN.

The possible combinations according to Afton are: VW 501.01/505.00, VW 505.00, VW 502.00/505.00, VW 502.00/505.01, and VW 504.00/507.00.

After looking at its datasheet, the OP's oil is indeed VW 502.00/505.01 dual-spec.

VW 505.00 and VW505.01 is the TDI spec
VW 502.00 is for gasoline engines.

Prior to DPF's, 505.01 was a full-SAPS spec.

The Flex service interval specs were 503.00/503.01 and 506.00/506.01

Yes, 505.01 was introduced when PD engines were. DPF found its way to PD engines later while they were offered in Skoda’s etc. toward end of their life. I had it on one Octavia 1.9.

Thank you all for your comments, I appreciate them all!

I decided to keep it safe and do a oil change with Motul specific 502 507 without a system flush(since is not a big biggie that I run the current oil).

The DPF on my vehicle is in great condition so I want to keep it that way for as long as possible.

I have a 2008 non DPF 2.0 BKD PD injected motor no DPF mk5 golf, would a 505 5w40 spec be fine? Or am I wasting the extra $40 on 507 spec?

No emissions then 505.00 would be okay but 507.00 is a better performing product. The link below is to be used to compare specifications within the same automaker/category (ex, VW-to-VW) rather than specifications between automakers.
