Castrol Super 2 stroke

Hey all,

I've been burning a fairly rich mix of castrol super 2t in my lawnboy lately and every now and then I get a faint whiff of something sweet. Not quite like mx bikes running klotz but still kinda nice. Anyone know if super 2t has any castor mixed in?

On a bad note this stuff leaves a horrible buildup and residue all over my trimmer's exhaust.

Buildup will cause more heat not a good thing. What ratio mix are you using. After so many hours trimmers are torn down and manually cleaned. This is with a semi-synthetic 2 cycle oil at 50:1.

Trimmers average 1000 hours yearly.

It was mixed at 24:1 in the mower and 40:1 in the trimmer. I had been running Amsoil Hp Injector previously but the stink was terrible. I usually like the smell of 2 stroke but not the HP. Didn't smoke any less either.
