It's supposed to be 10,000 miles, perhaps shown as 15,000 km or 16,000 km in Canada, but I'm having difficulty finding anything, either. Their site plainly shows 24,000 km for gold bottle, but I'm stymied with finding something for the black bottle at the moment, even on the data sheet.

AFAIK I don't think they post it for the black bottle
When you say M1 is rated for 10k miles are we talking miles or kilometers (6200 miles)?
I really wish the US would just go to metric. Manufacturing prints, oil discussions etc. It would all be easier.
I have always been under the impression even the "extended OCI" oils push factory recommended intervals. 10k (miles) seems reasonable to many Fords for example with their OLM's.
Even on Castrol EP ( which they claim is good for 15,000 miles) Castrol recommends going by what the cars' manufacturer specifies as the proper OCI. But with more and more vehicles coming with maintenance minders for the oil, the OCI could stretch out as fast as 15,000. Castrol is wise keeping their recommendations limited to 10k.
As far as the black bottle Edge goes, follow your cars owners manual (or MM) and everything should be ok.
The lifetime claim printed on the container is pretty much just marketing.
My lightly-used I6 engine in a light car with a 7.6 quart capacity is going to be a lot easier on the oil than a 4 cylinder with a 4 quart capacity and lots of blow-by pushing a heavy SUV.
I do run my oil to 15K miles, as suggested by the service interval computer.

I don't have a recent Canadian bottle in front of me to answer what we have printed, but the Canadian Mobil site does mention 15,000 km, probably because it's a simpler number then 16,000 km.

Thanks. In the US, only the M1 EP bottles mention 15K miles. The regular M1 bottles don't mention anything.

Mobil1 warrants all of its synthetic to be 10k mile not KM for engine protection

Additional requirements for all Mobil 1 products include:
