Short term sale. Usually $28.99, now $23.97 free shipping.
You can choose from two retailers honoring this price. Amazon or WalMart. Amazon usually only runs these deals for a couple days, then returns back to their normal price. Unsure how long WalMart runs these deals. They seem to come an go, once every month or two.

Stock up on this "Limited Time Promo". Castrol doesn't do many rebates that I've seen.
When Castrol does do rebates....do they even allow online purchases?
I know Pennzoil does not. Which means paying retail which negates most of the rebate often times.

Good question, I've never done any Castrol rebates. Below link from a rebate from last years says "A participating Castrol product at select retail accounts".

I see they updated labels I wonder if the sale stuff has the older label? Not that it makes any difference in the oil quality.

It shows $42.99 for me... 😞
Amazon dropped the price back to $23.97 today.
Walmart is still holding at $23.97 as well.

Based on "PayPal Honey" price search, this is the lowest price offered in the past four months from either seller.

I picked up 2 jugs of the 5w-40 on Monday, just happened to be at WM for something else and noticed the sale during my obligatory fluid aisle stroll.

It'll be going in my '95 Caddy, I'm interested to compare oil usage/engine sound compared to the 10w-30 ST HM it's got in it right now. I've had a quart of HPL EC30 in the sump for 2k miles or so, I plan on leaving it in a few hundred more miles to get the most out of it and the Fram Ultra that's on there now.

FWIW, the O'Reilly deal on Castro Euro 5W-40 that I wrote about here is back on.

On sale for $34.95 - $15 gift card =$19.95 per 5qt jug.

Of course, the rebate is in the form of a captive O'Reilly gift card, but that can be used to get the excellent Microgard Select filters.

Just to bump this, when I checked it a day or so ago, the price was gone. The Amazon link now works again, showing $23.97 or even $21 if you sign up for subscribe and save.

This has the MB 229.5 cert which is nice.

When I bought the 3 jug boxes, it worked out to just a little less than the 23.97/jug. I bought one from amazon and one from walmart just to see if either was shipping old stock.

both boxes were API SP.
