How is this oil autozone stocks it easy to get. Says it has a additive for high reving motorcycles.

Yea seems to be a good oil wonder how it compares to mobil 1 racing 4t

Don't know but I would guess Mobil would be a better oil. Castrol 4T is a dino oil and the Mobil is synthetic. Castrol 4T has gotten some bad reviews and UOA's. I'm running it for 600 miles for engine break in then switching to Rotella T 15W-40 for the life of the engine. I do have 3 quarts of Castrol Power RS Racing 4T 10W-40 Full Synthetic on hand that I may try. Says something about Tri-zone Technology on the bottle.

let me put it this way:

it's not worth the effort for your eyes to even focus on the bottle on the shelf.

this oil is at the BOTTOM of the list.

i drain better stuff out of my lawnmower after 3 years than what this swill turns into in 30 miles.

The Power RS Racing 4T 10w50 is a full synthetic. The 10w50 is SL, Jaso MA2, VI = 166, HTHS 3.7

The 10w40 is SL, Jaso MA2, VI=155 HTHS 2.9

Mobil1 Racing 4T 10w40 is Sl, Jaso MA, VI= 161 HTHS = ??

Castrol 4T is dino and Castrol RS Racing 4T is synthetic and I would not run a 10W-50 in my bike as it has to wide of a viscosity rating. May sheer quicker. That's my opinion.

Triumph calls specifically for it in the Thunderbird 1600-1700 engines.

And as someone who has a Triumph....I can tell you that you are better off avoiding it. And before BP got Triumph to recommend Castrol, they used to recommend Mobil. In my Speedmaster the castrol just got chewed up something terrible. Ive been using Valvoline synthetic since and my bike loves it.

I'm using Castrol 4T right now for engine break in. Maybe leave it in for 600 miles then throw the SRT 15W-40 in. Then at 1,500 miles I'll throw in a full synthetic which most likely be the Castrol Power RS Racing T 10W-40 since I have it on hand. After that I'll see what oil I will stick with. Taking me a long time to break my bike in being military and always away. Now I'm finally with it but over coming some serious injuries so riding is very limited.
