So you believe that most of the starving people in the world live in communist countries?

No, I clearly stated central economies.

India is the world's largest democracy and has almost half of the world's starving people.

And they are a highly socialized government so why in the world would we want to emulate them? Fairness?

How's the corruption in India?

Yes, because all of those communist/socialist/dictatorial countries are doing SO much better than our capitalist model...

Not when in direct competition for resources with a capitalist irresistible force. ..but that's neither here nor there... (that is, resist the lame urge to latch on to this one comment and read on).

Just what has capitalism done for you? What will it do TO you? Again, if you've seen our monetary debt based system, you HAVE to be in a town that's losing money ..in a state that's losing money ..in a nation that's losing money, while capitalism will benefit (in TRUE GAIN) fewer and fewer.

Just what's in it for you ..or any except the fewer and fewer who can real make out? What's in it for the AVERAGE citizen? Joe mean of means??? Just why should he NOT lean toward the "other side"?? What is capitalism going to do for him??

Sell him down the river? Most likely if at all possible.

Ridiculously low energy costs play a part too.

US uses five times as many oil calories on food production/processing than make it to the table.

That's insane, and clearly unsustainable. We didn't get to the top of the food chain on a negative energy balance.

Are you unaware of who controls most of the food production in the U.S.?

I'm sure you are willing to tell me.

The FED's control of the monetary system prevents a capitalist system. We DO NOT have a true capitalist system and we haven't for a very long time.

How well do you think they would be doing if we evil capitalists didn't subsidise them after WWII? Imagine if they had to pay their full defense spending?

And we STILL do better than they do, even with a booming population that most of Europe does not have.

So I take it that there is a better way?

Lots more people starved under central economies than in capitalist ones.

You're in the Fed corrupted system. Do I see you screaming to hang them? Did I see you stating that debt based tax cuts were asinine? Didn't you support "borrow and spend" as long as it advantaged upper tier earners?

..or was I mistaken?

Yup. And apparently it's the "elephant" in your room. We had 6% GDP deficits in the early 80s; then "read my lips" fell on the deficit sword. We've had the most government spending over the last 8 years since WWII. Gary is not mistaken. Those are the FACTS. GOP = grand ol spenders.
