What you are describing is a pile driver driving piles (sort of like pounding in a sheetmetal fence.

Talking of piles, and the comparison between brake and carb cleaner.

What's the difference between an anal and oral thermometer ?

The taste.

That is how graving docks and coffer dams are built. The pieces interlock and are corrugated for strength. I have heard them called sheet piles.
Eljefino, you arent alone. I buy all 3 at Walmart. I use them more or less for what they are described as.

Not unless you know for sure what it is going to do to rubber piston seals. That isn't a chance I'd want to take.

TMW,
Your absolutly right! That why they make each product. Consider that statement retracted because it's not good advise to others. Thank you for noting that:)

I've used it to get spots of of clothes before.

I've cleaned carpet stains with it.

I wish the stuff wasn't so expensive. It's pretty hard to use sparingly. It sorta operates in afterburner mode.

Gary, I noticed that too. The CRC stuff is super charged man. I try to shoot a little oil spot on the garage floor, and it comes out full stream. Obviously done on purpose by CRC to generate more sales.

I'm sure brake cleaner is safer than the stronger carb cleaner .
But for the momentary contact on those seals either way, it won't make a difference.
I like how brake cleaner evaporates quickly - this is a nice advantage.
