When I was looking at this I was thinking that would be the case too because it would seem to make too much sense, but for some ingenious reason the manufacturers of amps Stu_Rock and I came across this feature seems to be quite rare it seems only the 2 had it(there may be others that out there that I didn't find in my search). Almost all the amps seem require you to connect a remote/control module to turn on/off or connect a "remote" wire to the head unit to turn on/off when the head unit is turned on/off.
