The Home Canned goods section of my parents pantry/basement.
Floor: Grape Jelly, the family recipe Green tomato relish(no pickles), and ground horseradish
1st Shelf: Applesauce, Pearsauce, and Pear Juice
2nd Shelf: Pear Syrup, plums (I think), Tomato Juice, and canned Tomatoes
3rd Shelf: Pears(some in Juice, some in light syrup) & Peaches
4th Shelf: Apple Butter, Pear Butter, jar of lentils, eggplant curry, lone jar of peach jelly. Mom's secret recipe Dilly-Beans( my cousins will fight over these), and Beets, some pickled, some not.
Nearly all of it from my parents trees and garden plot.
(can you tell THEIR parents grew up in the depression?)
there are 2 more of those 4 ft shelving units to the right, filled w/ canned & dry goods.
not to mention the small chest freezer around the corner Solely for Zucchini Bread..
dad likes to have a month's supply of food on hand, just in case.
unfortunately I did NOT inherit their green thumbs.
I'm great w/ machines, but terrible w/ biologics.
I once Killed Aloe Vera b/c I FORGOT TO WATER IT ENOUGH!!!!
(desert succulent. doesn't need much water)
