Can you change a fuel filter in a Walmart parking lot?

I'd doubt WM security will make a big deal out of it. When cited, tell security that you are fixing your car to get it running. Nothing wrong about that. Anyway it wouldn't take you long to do fuel filter change

I don't think they have security at my local Walmart. Maybe at night they have a guy drive around. The cops like to park in the fire lane for no reason though.

WMs here in Houston have private security roaming around. Just in parking lots though

Lots of parts stores have signs prohibiting customers from working on their vehicles in the parking lot.

I've worked on cars in the parking lot at work which might be a good option.

Plot twist: Maybe the OP works at Walmart?
Never seem them. There is always someone with their hood up right by the front door trying to diagnose something though. I certainly wouldn't want to be working on my truck right there and have someone run over my legs pulling in or something This reminds me one time an autozone employee got snippy with me and wanted me to move my truck directly up front to plug in his obd scanner. Thought that was a bit retarded, maybe he was the only one working the store that day, I don't know 😕
