I have a 2002 Kia optima, it had a very minor oil leak, so I put some "bars leak engine repair" in it. I drove it about 40 miles and now the check engine light is on.

Is the stop leak the reason?

any other lights illuminated? Any rough running or any noticeable difference in the way the engine runs/sounds?

Maybe it shifted some junk and clogged the OCV. Post the code.

It was coded for evap code p0441. But it broke down about 15 minutes after I had the code checked. Had to have AAA tow it to a shop because I was over an hour away from home. The mechanic there thinks its the fuel system or fuel pump.

Indeed! Since the Bar's Leaks was(should have been) put in the crank case and not the fuel system, this is certainly a coincidence!
