I hope others will stop driving this way, I run into these idiots everyday, I'm sure you do too. They don't pay attention to what there doing. If you want to text or talk pull over.

This person was found with her phone still in her hand, and the top half of her body in the trunk...

DON'T TEXT & DRIVE. It Will Kill Ya!!!😨

That's partially the result of bad guard rail designs. Not saying there aren't plenty of idiots not paying attention, but that should not happen with a properly designed guard rail. All of the ones in NC are being retrofit so as to avoid this possibility.

True but I was mostly posting about the idiots every day on there cell phones,
who just can't seem to put hem down for a few minutes. I don't know about tesla malfunctions,
which i'm sure will happen once and a while, nothing is infallible.

I was working for a bank in 2008 when gas prices hit $4.00 per gallon. The bank gave out free bus passes so, I started riding the bus to save money. Riding down I - 95, you can look down into the passing cars. Aside from great leg and cleavage views, you can see that many drivers are texting AT 70 MILES PER HOUR. Made me glad I was in a huge bus instead of a standard car.

Defensive driving rule #1 - Assume the other guy is nuts, high, or both. If you live in Cecil County you will generally be right

First thing I told my kids when teaching them to drive was "everybody else" on the road was a complete idiot trying to kill you.

Very common around here. Many don't survive to learn by it, and the people looking gawk at it, and 5 minutes later it is forgotten, or they're texting friends about it while driving. Some even text pics.

Given that it was a female, pretty unlikely.

Women "try" to kill themselves, and then make a phonecall.

Guys don't try...and I DO agree with you that single occupant high speed unexplained accidents are very suspicious.

Was there any actual evidence she was texting? If not while saying she was texting maybe plausible but she also may have had phone in hand. I have a hard time beliving she was ripped in two but held phone at same time.

Maybe she had a death grip on her phone?

I dunno. I thought distracted driving was as old as driving? I wasn't around for it, but I recall reading things about how putting radios into cars was going to lull people asleep.

Truth is, drivers have always had to deal with distractions. Today it is worse, as our cars need less attention and there seems to be so much else that we could be paying attention to. But it's always been there.

Any traffic safety device can be defeated by willful intent or stupidity.

Maybe I could see someone driving into a rock wall at 100 mph to commit suicide. The end of a guardrail seems a little too "small" to appear as a life-ender.

Never have I ever heard any data relating to vehicular suicides.
I'd bet money on the authorities keeping a lid on such data because impressionable kiddies would get ideas.

And heaven knows, we don't want the little nose wipes to destroy Daddy's car! (flame suit on).

Every guardrail in Minnesota that size has an impact diverter on them. As the other poster said jaws of life look too shady to be a US picture.
