Can 5W-30 flow at temperature X exactly like 0W-20 at temperature Y?

It’s a range. Not a tally. You ever hear of a 2.5 winter rating or 25 viscosity before? You’ll end up with pretty much an undetermined winter rating between 0/5 and either a higher range 20 or lower range 30.
Winter range will ALWAYS be the worse of the two oils mixed due to wax formation, and the operating viscosity is a simple mathematical calculation that will almost assuredly be in the 20 grade range if there is more than just a “splash” of 20.

It’s not rocket science; it’s much closer to color-by-numbers. It’s one or the other, there are no arbitrary in-betweens.

Guys, what happens if you mix 2.5 quarts of PUP 0W-20 and 2.5 quarts of PUP 5W-30? Do you get something like 2.5W-25? Or it's not that simple?

Mixes may, if the ratio is correct, end up with something that for a certain temperature range will behave much like a convince store SLISHIE drink. The actual molecules will still phase change from liquid to wax at the same temperature. There will be a range where one turns to wax and the other remains liquid. And how well it flows depends on the percent of each making up the mix.
