Any of you have experience with Bullfrog hot tubs? Good, bad, etc?

I have no (personal) experience other than the fact they are a Utah based company and they sell TONS of them here. Don't hear many complaints from owners. They have been on business since 1989 and have had tremendous growth.

We have decided to purchase a hot tub and so far, out of all the hot tub sellers in my area, they appear to be the higher quality. I had no idea how “confusing” and “complicated” it could be trying to choose a hot tub.

I have decided not to purchase a brand with proprietary components. Must have Balboa electronics, self supporting shell, local servicing dealer, not salt water, energy efficient, etc

salt water is the way to go
Well, that is a highly debated topic. I’ve objectively listened to both sides. I tried to. Lol
I’ve talked with 4 dealers and one swears it is the only way to go. Two are totally opposed. One remains neutral.

I’ve decided to go “old school” at this time. I feel I need to go with whichever my tub dealer recommends.

I've had hot tubs for almost 30 years.
My first was a Vita Spa. I now have a Sundance.
Have always used bromine. Guess, you can't teach an old dog new tricks.
Bullfrog is a respected, but at least around here, one of the lesser known brands.
My advice would be to stick with one of the major brands, and focus on service and support after the sale.
That is more important than brand.

Agreed. I’ve talked with a few hot tub owners and am placing a lot of weight on their experiences. I will only purchase through a local dealer. The one I’m looking at with the Bullfrog sells Jacuzzi as well. Been selling hot tubs in the area over 30 years. Plus my neighbor is good friends with the owner.

It sounds like you have the right idea.
You might want to shop around though to get a handle on pricing.
Also, hold off until the end of the model year, or look at discontinued models.
Sometimes, you can save some serious coin on the year end or floor models.
I saved a grand on my Sundance by going with a brand new, year end model.
Also, keep an eye out on lightly used through the dealer. Sometimes, people just want larger (or smaller) after they purchase.
Focus on what you want, but leave some flex for a good opportunity.
