I finally retired from law enforcement after almost 38 years at the same department. Got lots of free time now so one of my projects is to build a waterfall/pond where my above ground pool used to be. I will then plant some things around the pond and fill in the rest with dirt and grass seed. Here are some pics of my progress so far.

@ZZman
Curious thought that was a great idea to configure it out with cinder blocks. Im unsure of what you will line it with. I assume vinyl as that is all I know but wondering if you are considering something else.

Going to use underlayment and then a 45 mil pond liner.

How many gallons will the pond hold, and how much water flow ie gallons/Liters per hour?

I figure it is about 800-900 gallons. The pump is a 2300 gph pump but after pumping up to the spillway it is reduced to about 1700 gph.

Still have to move in black dirt and put grass seed on 3/4 of it. Wife wants a "beach " area on the right side between the tarp and yucca plant. Moving all the rocks was a back breaker. The awesome part is my brother saw a farm field with piles of rocks. I talked to the farmer and he said take all you want!
