Ah...the ASKING price. Yes, people always pay that. (edit, sorry, I see that you are in Canada. Can't speak about that one.)

I paid less than 18K for my Ford Fusion SE 4 cylinder with a manual transmission. It's not option-challenged either. All of this and 0 percent interest. I'm sure that Focus would be even less.

Judging by the parade I went to on Sunday in NYC I'd say we are already there.

Ugh, that brings back some unpleasant memories.

My girlfriend dragged me to that Puerto Rican parade years ago, (This was before the time they were pouring water bottles over the women and ripping their clothes off whilst the cops were nowhere to be found).

Anyway, the parade goers were dumping over trash cans to stand on to get a better view, while others were blowing whistles non-stop.

Must have been fun this year with the temps pushing 100 degrees.

They are selling this globally. Same name, same basic car with only a few different engine options. I really like their idea here. I think this will be a hit.

That's a Festiva, a Korean car. The Fiesta was made in Europe and on the market in the US in the late 1970s and was a fun to drive car.

Craziness. I just got quoted $14,200 for a 2008 focus 2 weeks ago. That was pre $1500 cash back from the incentives.

Ford has a great opportunity to trump the Fit / Yaris with this little beauty. I'm not really in the market for a car this small, but I think I'd like to have one.

The Fiesta and Festiva were both decent subcompacts in their own ways. Big difference was the Fiesta felt like a European car that wanted to be driven hard and tossed around while the Festiva was just a reasonably will done econo box.

I had a rental Fiesta in 1978 for about a week and still remember how much fun it was. IIRC, it was the first mainstream FWD with a crossways engine (I'm not counting the Mini because it was so small as to be a sub-sub compact.)

Yes it was 'fun'. What amazes (and disgusts) me is the litter. Everything is thrown on the street with no attempt to discard it in one of the numerous garbage cans. Is it any wonder that NYC has a rat problem.
