Brand loyalty vs whatever is on sale = vote

With all the sales you end up with a hodge podge of stuff and bouncing around like a pin ball. So I settled on 3 items, and I watch for deals on those like a hawk. I buy Pennzoil, Rotella and Marvel and use my self control on everything else.

I will bite on Quaker State if it's an absolute steal though.

I used to be very brand loyal I like valvoline but now money is tighter I try more things on sale...ive lucked out and was able to get Valvoline on sale for the Nexgen but when it runs out Ill just buy Supertech or whatever is good and cheap on sale.

I'm a Kendall user for 20+ years. I buy it by the case from a wholesaler.

I use UOA so having the same oil change after change helps remove result variation due to VO differences.

Hello,
Any dino will do
Mobil1 0W-40 or Castrol 0W-30 ONLY for the turbos
Considering Wolf's head A3,B3 by mail due to free shipping
offer (through the end of the year) Kira

Both---
I buy Mobil 1, Pennzoil products, or Valvoline products, but I wait for sales.

Agreed.
I like to stay with a given oil for at least a few OCIs, since I feel that this maximizes additive package effectiveness, whether I'm right or not.
If an oil is offered at a deal, I'll check the UOA forum for it, and if the UOAs look good for my intended use, I'll load up.
For example, Meijer clearanced out their four quart jugs over the summer, Valvoline offered their "engine guarantee" rebate, and many of the Synpower jugs had $1.00 off coupons attached to them.
Synpower has shown really good results on 5-6K UOAs, so I jumped.
I bought seven gallons of Synpower, enough for the next five OCIs on the Forester, now on the very similar VR1, with three quarts left for whatever at a dirt cheap price after coupon and MIRs.
Prior to this, I had done maybe two OCIs on anything using Valvoline oils, but the price was right and the oil seems to hold up well for the drain intervals I intend to use.
I've used PP and M1 when similar deals were offered.
Buy what works when it's cheap, but buy enough to use for at least a few OCIs.
That's about as far as I go with brand loyalty.
I'm more loyal to my wallet.

I'm neither brand loyal nor do I look for the best deals. I searched this forum for the most recommended oil for other cars like mine, and I stuck with it. I always remain open to suggestions that might be a better choice.

Im generally loyal to SOPUS products. But if there is a sale on something I dont care if it isnt a SOPUS oil. I know that all oil will perform well so if I can stock my stash at a low price I will do it! I dont buy valvoline typically but when I got them on sale on Amazon.com for $5.00 a gallon with free 2 day shipping I refuse to let that sale go.

Care to comment on NextGen? I've wanted to take the plunge, haven't done it yet...

Brand loyal to Mobil and SOPUS , both are very good and always on sale somewhere.

I may go high-end synthetic or a trust-worthy conventional. I've got some Ultra to go in next for the winter. I've used everything from Amsoil, Mobil1, SOPUS(Pennzoil/FS/Rotella), and Valvoline. I have yet to use Red Line. I've seen a few average joes that are into 'oils' grabbing Royal Purple swearing by it, but that's for another story.

Generally, I'm brand loyal to SOPUS oils but I'm more concerned about what works better for my vehicle, either empirically or anecdotally, than if it's Pennzoil/Quaker State or if something I've never tried is on sale.
