I'm curious to see where BITOG members stand on this subject. I know everyone has different opinions. This is not a thread to discuss/argue. Simple question. Are you loyal to a brand? or are you a 'whatever is on sale' person?
(Do not turn this into a AMSOIL vs M1 thread)

I like certain brands a little more, but I am not loyal to a brand.

I guess I`m brand loyal, because if I find a brand that I feel works the best (or several brands),I like to stick with it.

Synthetic Loyalist. Stock up when there are good sales + rebates. How can you not?!?! haha I have about 100+ quarts in my garage!

But I take care of four (family) cars. Only thing I do differently now, is TrY to stick to a particular brand for at least 2-3 OCI, just to "see" if a car likes a particular brand better.

You're an excellent salesman LOL.

For me, it depends on the car. If it's a car that I love, it'll be Amsoil. If it's a car like the one I"m driving now, I'll use Syns that are on sale at Autozone. They're always having Mobil 1 and Pennzoil on sale.

Same.. For my 96 Saturn, whatever's on sale. Currently have some synthetic in my stash, but also have some conventional Ill be running too probably come next summer.

Hi,
I am "loyal" to using the correct specifications for the task - Brand matters little. A known product from a reputable organisation with an excellent servicing reputation helps. Then comes performance - Brand loyalty is the end result.

That is of course until something comes along that can do a better more cost/effective job using the original criteria

Brand Loyal - only because they made a great product for slightly lower than average price!

If another brand did the same, I would instantly switched.

Used to be Brand loyal to M1, but thats because when I was a kid, it was the only syn oil I'd ever heard of when I read my Popular Mechanics. "That's the oil I'm going to put in my car one day!". Man. They got me good.

My loyalty to brands slowly faded when I joined BITOG. Lets say I'm somewhat loyal, but have been stocking up like mad when I see a good sale, and brand has been taking the back burner.
