Using NDX for every day use is too much as the co-efficient friction is too high for an every day pad. There would also be more dust.

I had EBC Redstuff with Stoptech Cross-drilled and slotted rotors on my Passat 2.0T.

Never got around to heat-bedding them, but was satisfied with their performance. Drove it in a lot of stop-and-go traffic... probably a good way to brake them in.

But on the GolfMK7 forums, many of them didn't like EBC products as pads had failed them during bedding, probably resin integrity, and claimed followed EBC's bedding instructions to the letter.

I’ve heard of EBC quite a bit online, but have never had first hand experience nor met someone with first hand experience.

I’ve been researching a lot on replacement brakes for the Giulia and EBC is on the short list. I think Yellowstuff is what I’m leaning towards.

BUT, I’ve heard a lot of conflicting experience for these pads for daily use and in cold temps. Chief concerns are noise in standard traffic and grip when cold. Where I live the yearly temperature spread is -10*F to 95*F, a pad that will perform in the colder months is a must.

Redstuff is more streetable pad for your conditions

Thanks for your comments. We are also joining VW forums so hopefully will gather any feedback from those users directly, checking application/product and usage. If you have any experiences please let us know, We are now using the NRS hooks system, worth taking a look at this online if you wish to.

Where do the Extra Duty Light Truck pads fall in the EBC pad offering spectrum?

The brake selector chart ( linked here ) does not show them. Are they more aggressive than the Yellow and Green?

Correction - Ended up installing Red Stuff as the Yellow Stuff wasn’t going to arrive until later in the month and I don’t have the time to wait right now.

Install this morning was a breeze and fit just like the OE Brembo pads. A little squeeling (normal per EBC) the first 20-25 miles during the test drive. Just got back from an 11 mile trip and they didn’t make a peep.
