They are a flat head phillips that sits flush. The least they could have used is a SS allen head. I use a hand impact driver and they come out easy enough.
Of all the places designers find to use torx head fasteners, it boggles the mind that these screws are Phillips head still. must because of the bevel on the screw head and the available dimensions. Of course the factory never has to take them off...
