I do not see any references to BP Select motor oil, after using the search function. I usually pay at the pump, but went inside my local BP the other day and noticed they sell BP Select oil, along with Castrol products. I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about BP Select, or if it's just some reformulation of Castrol in a BP bottle. Is anyone familiar with this brand?

Forget Marvel...BP Select must be the real "mystery oil". Judging by the number of replies (zero), this must not be a very popular oil. Anyone out there ever use it?
BP Select...never seen it...couple weeks ago stopped at BP Station in Brigeport NE...snooping around the oils...I can't help myself...I saw Amoco Synthetic...looking at the back of the bottle...Chevron makes it...Guy behind counter tells me BP bought Amoco light oils and Chevron bought the heavy oils...slightly off topic but I figured interesting in the least...Next time I go to this BP station I will check and see if he has BP Select...
I know certain products, oil included, are very regional in their availability. I've never seen BP Select in any store other than a BP station. I figured since BP owns Castrol, maybe they were just using some economy-version of Castrol for BP Select. I had no idea Amoco was still selling oil. I thought it was just BP fuel, with an Amoco label, to keep Americans feeling okay about foreign ownership. Chevron making Amoco oil? There sure are some complex business relationships between oil companies these days!
Erogers..I've seen it at BP's in Indiana. I'm gussing, but I don't know for sure, that is is a Castrol in a different bottle with perhaps a different, or lesser add pack. Similar to how Valvoline is repackaged as Napa and has less additive per/a Valvoline oil tech.
