There are some cars that just have weird windshield shapes that are tricky to wipe. My father has said this for years -- people want that extremely raked windshield that wraps around...very difficult to design a wiper system to properly clear it.

I've used Bosch wipers twice. Never again. They work great ... for a little while. Rain-X or even a store brand like Trico has better longevity, in my experience.

Ive had best luck with PIAA. Either just the squeegees or the wipers themselves.

You're father's right. That made me stop and think about my 1968 IHC Scout (sort of like a Jeep). It had a small, absolutely flat windshield. The wipers were dinky little things and I don't recall ever having a problem with chattering or squeaking.

I have a set waiting to go on my car from the last Costco deal. I figured I'd give them a shot. Now I'm just waiting for the set of Icons to start doing a poor job.

I had two pairs of Icon blades go bad in only a few months each. The first pair I bought and the 2nd were sent to me from Bosch with the explanation that maybe I had bought an old pair that were decaying or were just old. 2nd pair lasted just as long as the first. They both streaked and chattered badly.
This was on a '99 Civic so they weren't super long beams and the car was parked outside in the Bay Area weather, which is fairly mild.
So no more Bosch blades for me...cheap Anco blades have held up longer.

But we cut corners slightly on our old 855. I finally got sick and tired of all the wiper chatter, streaking and misses using aftermarket types. Bosch (both types), Trico, Anco and a few others, traditional and single beam types. They all seem to stink. Always futzing with them trying to get something to work well.
Finally splurged $27 this past month for a pair of genuine Volvo wipers. Really just a couple dollars more than all of those auto store ones, and you get the whole package, wind-spoiler included. What a difference! What was I thinking. Never again.

The assemblies are stamped Volvo and are made in Germany. Unlike anything I've seen sold at the chain auto stores. The rubber may be Valeo. Like the OEMs on our other ones, they are not designed to be refilled.
Thanks for the encouragement. But I'm done trying to "save a few bucks" on a $25 consumable often made in China. Not worth the hassle.

Goodyear. They are made in the usa, and work great. Can't ask for more than that.
They are quiet, wipe VERY VERY clean, and aren't that expensive. 8 dollars for 2 at Costco.
