I suggest trying the VALEO traditional style blades in either the Titanium or 800 series on your older Subaru. They are available from Rockauto and Amazon (limited selection). VALEO is an OEM supplier and their traditional frame blades have been the best replacement wipers I have found in the aftermarket in regards to wipe quality and durability.

Sam's Club carried them in stock in the past. Not sure if they still do.

Sam's Club currently only sells the PEAK branded wiper blades. They are made by VALEO, but only come in the beam style blade design, not the traditional open frame design. The PEAK blades also work well.
